Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I get my piano tuned?
On average, a piano will need to be tuned at least once every year.
If it gets played a lot it may need to be tuned every six months, or even more frequently.
The more the piano is played the more often it will need to be tuned.
What is a pitch-raise?
If a piano hasn't been tuned for a long time, the whole piano can go flat.
While a piano in this condition can still be adjusted so that it's in tune with itself, it will be harder for other instruments to play along with it.
A pitch-raise evenly tightens the strings to bring the piano back to standard concert pitch.
How long will it take to tune my piano?
Normally it will take 2-5 hours, depending on the job, but this service is not charged by the hour, so it will take as long as it needs to.
